Greer Grammer
Leslie Van HoutonGreer Grammer is the daughter of Kelsey Grammer and Barrie Buckner and was named after the great actress Greer Garson. Growing up in Malibu, California, Grammer is no stranger to the entertainment industry and has followed in the footsteps of her famous father and half-sister, Spencer Grammer (ABC Family’s Greek). She currently stars as “Lissa” on the hit MTV series Awkward., now entering its fifth season. Grammer recently appeared in three episodes of Melissa & Joey.
Grammer started her career at a young age while attending the Idlywild Arts Academy as a musical theater major. During her teen years, Grammer won multiple pageant titles in California including Miss Teen Malibu 2008-2009, Miss Regional California Teen USA 2011, and she also placed in the top 10 for Miss California Teen USA for 3 years (2008-2010). At the same time, she continued to work hard on her acting until landing a small role on Nickelodeon’s iCarly, which led to the feature film, Almost Kings.
In May 2014, Grammer graduated with straight “A”s from USC’s Theater Arts School, all while filming MTV’s Awkward, the critically-acclaimed indie film Life Partners and An Evergreen Christmas. That same year, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced her as their selection for the coveted 2015 Miss Golden Globe. At the 72nd Annual Golden Globe Awards, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Pohler, Grammer was given the honor and responsibility of escorting and presenting the winners during the live telecast.
