There’s Miley Cyrus the Disneyfied Hanna Montana sparkplug. Then there’s Miley Cyrus the pot-smokin’, dancin’, singin’, laughin’, post-teen troublemaker. But have you seen Miley Cyrus the rather adult, rather sensitive philanthropist? Well, you’re about to meet her.
Thanks to Lifetime’s partnership with Variety’s Power of Women project, we got a face-to-face look at what really matters to Cyrus: Her Happy Hippy foundation dedicated to making life better for LGBTQ teens at risk. More than just fighting against bullying or shifting public perceptions of Queer youth, Happy Hippy aims to be a lifeline for the homeless and potentially suicidal teens whose families and communities may have rejected them.
