Though food connisseur doesn’t come to mind when you think of Lady Gaga (except for that infamous meat dress) it turns out the pop icon will be involved with the writing of a cookbook. Her father, Joe Germanotta will soon release a cookbook featuring recipes from Joanne Trattoria, his Italian restaurant on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, and his daughter AKA Stefani Germanotta will be writing the forward.
According to V Magazine, the book will be about, “Family, food, and love are the foundation upon which Joe Germanotta and his wife, Cynthia, raised their daughters, Natali and Stefani (aka Lady Gaga). Named for his sister who died of Lupus three months shy of her 20th birthday, their family-run restaurant is built on those same fundamental principals. In the pages of this cookbook, Joe has collected recipes and entertaining anecdotes inspired by his world famous restaurant.” Hey, as long as one of those recipes doesn’t include the actual meat from that dress we should be fine. The book is already available for pre-order and is currently Amazon’s best-selling new release in the Italian Cooking category.
It has been a really good week for Gaga as it was announced she will be the star of the upcoming remake of A Star is Born also starring and directed by Bradley Cooper. This is actually Gaga’s first starring role, but we aren’t surprised as Cooper came after her hard, according to Deadline, after her amazing year of winning a Golden Globe for her role on American Horror Story and earning an Oscar nomination for her original song Til It Happens To You from the documentary The Hunting Ground. Gaga will also compose and sing new music for the film. It is looking like the singer will have another amazing following last year’s recognition by Billboard as their Woman of the Year at their annual Women in Music event which aired on Lifetime last December.
