Gabrielle Douglas is a US Women’s Artistic gymnast. At the 2012 London Summer Olympics, she made history, becoming the first US gymnast to take home a team and an individual gold medal in the same Olympics. Douglas is also the first woman of color of any nationality and the first African-American gymnast in Olympic history to become the Individual All-Around Champion. She began her training at age six, and became the Virginia State Champion only two years later. Since her Olympic triumph, Douglas has authored two New York Times Bestsellers, “Grace, Gold, and Glory: My Leap of Faith” and “Raising the Bar,” in addition to being honored with numerous awards for her accomplishments. Up next, she plans to compete in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Douglas appeared on an episode of “The Vampire Diaries” and “Kickin’ It.” She was also a guest judge on “So You Think You Can Dance,” co-hosted “America’s Got Talent” with Nick Canon and co-hosted on “The View.” Douglas presented and performed at the 2012 “MTV Video Music Awards” with Alicia Keys and Nicki Minaj and was a presenter at the “Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards,” the “ESPY Awards” and the “BET Awards.”
