No, no one’s casting Lena Dunham or even Jemima Kirke for the next round of Victoria’s Secret Angels. That doesn’t mean, however, that they aren’t—in their own ways—legitimately interesting women who, like most women, might just feel a little liberated and a little sexier donning some frilly unmentionables.
That is exactly what the new campaign and photoshoot by New Zealand’s Lonely Lingerie which shows the two Girls stars hanging out in the brand’s wares in tableaus we imagine their TV characters would dig. Free of Photoshopping, low on makeup, and high on honesty, the photos by Zara Mirkin plays with and upends the kind of male-gaze images we tend to see in underwear campaigns by using two strong women with non-normatively beautiful body who clearly DGAF.

It’s all part of the brand’s Lonely Girls Project, a series of images that captures a diverse set of women and their diverse bodies wearing the brand’s designs. Take a look for yourself over here, but don’t say we didn’t warn you if you happen to wind up purchasing a bra-and-panty set for yourself.
