Caramel-Stuffed Snickerdoodles
Ingredients
- 1½ cup sugar
- ½ cup vegetable shortening
- 4 oz. butter
- 2 eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 ¾ cups flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- caramel cubes
- cinnamon
Instructions
- Add sugar, vegetable shortening, butter and mix.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract while mixing
- Sift flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt and add to wet mixture
- Scoop out dough to make each cookie and flatten onto a baking sheet.
- Fill each scoop of dough with a caramel cube and cover the top with dough.
- Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on top.
- Bake for 14 minutes at 375 degrees and enjoy!
