  • OMG, I never read that the Golden Girls were going to be removed from Lifetime's lineup. Ummm, HELLOOOO, they are what makes you what you are. My most special memories in watching TV on a Saturday night was watching the show. I agree with the others, to keep Still Standing and Reba, tho I do love her music,is nothing short of ridiculous!!!
Not to mention some of your sappy 'movies for TV'. Some are very good but man oh man, alot are just plain awful. I too have the entire DVD set of our Ladies but when I come home from work at midnight I love nothing better than to watch what I have TVIO'd, our Girls and have a glass of wine and laugh my **** off. Not to mention my friend in Adelaide Australia who loves them as well and has for years. You now have two countries to deal with. Please leave our Ladies and I do mean Ladies where they belong.
    Thank You

  • Yes, Lifetime should definitely leave The Golden Girls right where they are. Also, pull the plug on that awful show Still Standing. I'd like to see them stream full episodes of shows with this type of following online for free, GG, Designing Women, etc. :)

  • I only signed up today, but I've been watching GG since it began. My parents and I would watch it together. Since my parents did not speak English very well, I would have to translate for them. I have to say that there were quite a few episodes in which I chose not to translate some of the dialogue...ahh...good times. I am shocked to read that lifetime is canceling my favorite show as of next year. I have bought most of the seasons on DVDs but still get excited to watch an episode on TV. I am extremely disappointed.

  • YEP! best show ever! been watching it since i was like 7. then when i was 16 i started watching the reruns almost everyday on lifetime like clockwork til now...at 25. not tired of it yet. i can recite practically every word to every episode. awesome show. my favorite character is Dorothy cuz she's funny, sarcastic, and smart. I like to think im those things lol. anyways its my fav show of all times and kudos to lifetime for keeping it going..dont ever stop showing it!!!!!!!!!!

  • You know, I think it's incredibly stupid how they have Still Standing on four times a day. That show is really just a rip off of Roseanne.

But anyway, my point is, I'm only 16 years old, and I LOVE The Golden Girls, and I know a lot of people my age that love this show, too. If they take it off Lifetime, the network is going to lose a lot of fans.

Let's put Golden Girls back on at 6 and maybe 8! Instead of stupid **** Reba and Still Standing! Those shows give me migraines.

  • Yes, exactly, aproundie!! I'm looking forward to it.

  • Aproundie, I think you are right when you say Lifetime is just ignoring us viewers, if they have no intentions of keeping us informed on the status of if Lifetime is going to keep The Golden Girls in the line up or not. I have actually spoken with Lifetime over the telephone, and I was advised they were aware of our concerns over them dropping The Golden Girls. I was told they were working on trying to keep The Golden Girls in the line up, but still we haven't heard any real news about that on this web site, or even on the station. Well, I already have the Hallmark channel where I live and I will move over to the Hallmark channel if need be. Hey Beanie185! Yea, wasn't that some crazy comment. I'm glad I am not the only one who noticed that.

  • I need to remind everyone that Lifetime has already foolishly removed Golden Girls from their line up as of 2009. They are clearly not reading any of these hundreds of comments. They are dedicated to having moronic terrible shows like Reba, Still Standing and upsurd reality shows fill up their schedule. They don't get it. There are 24 hrs in a day and they cannot find any room for the Golden Girls. The only thing that viewers can do is to cancel Lifetime and to sign up for THE HALLMARK Channel which has purchased the right to the Golden Girls.

  • Hi gtafolla!

You're right and I agree completely. That person's comment made no sense whatsoever.
